MEET US
MEET US
Hawthorn Community Chest is managed by a Committee of volunteers with the assistance of a part-time office manager. We meet monthly to consider grant applications, plan fundraising events and discuss ongoing community engagement activities.

Currently there are thirteen of us on the Committee and we come from a range of professional backgrounds. Most of us have raised our families in the area and have been involved with local schools, or sporting clubs or other community-based organisations. We have all seen that despite its outward appearance of affluence, there are pockets of considerable disadvantage within our community, and many of us have seen this through our local involvement.
