Hawthorn Community Chest held its AGM today where new president David Gorton was appointed. Upon accepting the position David paid tribute to outgoing president Andrew Tait for steering HCC through the difficult COVID years.

Hawthorn Community Chest has appointed a new President at its 64th Annual General Meeting which was held last night and was attended by Committee members, Patrons, John Pesutto and Lesley Gillespie OAM, and honorary auditor, Andrew Fisher of the Banks Group.
The new President, David Gorton, has been a long-term Committee member and has been both Treasurer and a member of the Finance and Investment Committee. He replaces Andrew Tait who has held the role for four years, and who successfully steered the local charity through two years of COVID. Taking the chair, David thanked Andrew for his work over the past years, and highlighted the strong financial position of HCC, and it’s continued dedication to those in need across the Boroondara community.
